Catch & Release is a site-specific installation composed of graphite tracings made directly on the walls and on paper within Bass & Reiner Gallery. Created between mid-November 2024 and early February 2025, the work tracks the shifting movement of sunlight as it entered the gallery’s south-facing windows over time.
The tracings mark fleeting reflections cast by the surrounding environment - passing cars, a "No Parking" sign, and windows from neighboring buildings. These subtle interruptions transformed the gallery into a recording device, capturing the interplay between natural light and the built urban landscape.
