Hard Convergence, Soft Resurgence is a site-specific installation on an angled support beam at Root Division (San Francisco). Using found materials from the Mission District, the work is held together through balance and tension. Evoking plate tectonics, the beam acts as a fault line, with precarious arrangements reflecting both geological pressures and San Francisco's social precarity. The piece explores how instability can give rise to quiet, gradual resurgence.
