This installation explores subtle disruptions within the familiar. Toyon berries are placed between the gaps of bricks, mimicking how fallen fruit might naturally settle into cracks. A nearby toyon bush suggests a point of origin, as if the berries have dropped from it. Their density, however, exaggerates this otherwise incidental occurrence.

By amplifying something easily overlooked, the work creates a quiet “glitch” in the real world—an interruption that feels both natural and slightly off. It invites viewers to reconsider what appears accidental, revealing how small shifts can transform the ordinary into something uncanny.
